JS Creative Launches New Website for Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta

Site Unveils New Tagline, "A Place Where Promise Lives"

ATLANTA (June 2008) - JS Creative, a division of Jackson Spalding, announces the launch of a completely redesigned website for Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta (BGCMA), the largest group of Boys & Girls Clubs in the United States. The new site, www.bgcma.org, helps promote the BGCMA's new theme, "a place where PROMISE lives."

JS Creative team members Tom Hinson, Katherine Gatza and JC Hamill invested more than 12 weeks developing a site that ultimately would exceed client expectations. Hinson recalls, "When the BGCMA approached us about their site, they were looking for improvements in its look-and the way they maintained it. We could see the frustration they were experiencing with the content management system (CMS) they were using to update the site."

After several planning meetings between BGCMA and JS Creative, goals were established for the new site: a more appealing visual design, more intuitive navigation and-importantly-an easier way for BGCMA to maintain the site, including providing individual Clubs the ability to maintain their specific information.

Driving donations to the non-profit organization was also a must. Hinson says, "We were really moved by numerous stories from current and previous Club members. Their lives have been so positively influenced by their involvement in the BGCMA. It was obvious what was needed: These powerful stories had to be showcased. After reading these messages, you know that BGCMA truly makes a difference to many, many young people-and the community it serves."

Starting on the home page and continuing throughout the new site, these ‘success stories' are prominently highlighted, along with donor testimonials as well.

To meet the goal of being easier to maintain, "We designed and built a completely custom CMS that's user-friendly and makes it remarkably easy to manage the site," said Gatza.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta, founded in 1938, helps provide quality programming for disadvantaged Atlanta-area youth. Through sponsors, donors and corporate partners, the BGCMA creates developmental programs such as summer camps, after-school programs and personal development programs for young people ages 6 to 18.
